Just go and get it. I doubt the GB price will be much better. Just tell the guy u from VW / Audi forum. I think he got enough business that he will prob give u his best price. Also, if u want antenna, which I strongly recommend, there is a shop on 4th floor that can also set u up for an additional about $100.
yea i think dont need a GB.. just go there and ask for the same deal as the last GB.
tsctsc - can u lemme know shop details? want to get it.
The shop that I went for the external antenna is 4-10.
Here is the original thread for those interested in details.

Don't need to arrange for another group buy. I went to SLS today to arrange with Lenz to allow anyone from VW/Audi group to buy Package 1 that is preprogrammed with the frequencies that we use (comes with spare batt, handsfree and long whippy antenna) :)
yup, just got our set of 7. no need grp buy. Programming plus all accessories that were included in previous grp buy.
guys just a heads up. i think a couple of people who bought the GP2000 recently, lenz did not activate the fully programmable function. that means that the frequencies and sub frequencies are fixed and cannot be changed.
found this out on the trip to melacca when couple of the GP2000s couldnt transmit ont he regular 4 8 setting on the talkabouts.

hmm... so need to go back there to get it fully activated?
im not sure if you can DIY, but i dont know how its actually done. might need to go call them and ask.
if you want to see if urs is fully progammable, if you turn off the WT, depress the small black button above the PTT and turn on the WT, you will see RW. if you press the + button and can see CH 001, its fully programmable. if nothing happens when u press the + button, then its not.

Mine can, therefore its programmable. Thanks!

actually the set is locked. the technician would've either left it locked or unlocked it for you. so infact ALL are fully programmable.
what you say is accurate, jdredd.. if you try pressing the + button in RW, and nothing happens, it's locked. soooo... today's top tip: how to unlock
1. turn of WT
2. depress the PTT, the monitor button and the + button at the same time then switch the WT on
3. when the WT powers on, press the PTT button one more time when the status msg appears. set turn off.
voila. set is now unlocked - ready for programming :yahoo
i tried your method. it does allow you to enter the channel selection for programming. but then, i could not change the sub frequency (the 3 digit one). i would enter it, and then it would just reset back to original.

there's some kind of special code you must use. you can't just program for example, 123.
if my memory doesn't fail me (again), the frequency set is a 6 digit number and it starts with 4.
can anyone remember how this works exactly?

enter 00 then the number lor for rpl tpl
i did. but it would reset back to 000.
anyway, the point im making is that, this is a simple fix and the dealer should be able to free up the WT to be fully programmable.
