View Full Version : Hello
Had posted a trend on the car lounge on A6 accessories before I stumble on to this topic. I just book a A6 2.0 TFSI and will be getting it middle of the month. As mentioned in my other trend, need to install the net behind seat and drawers below. CO says that the space to keep barang not enough  . Anyone knows where to get it besides PA. They are charging skyhigh prices for it. Just like some pinter companies, sell you printer at reasonable price but kotook you with the accessories.
Thanks.
Hi Bambam
Congrats on your new ride and with regards to the accessories you can try XinZhong. They are importers of VW/Audi Spare parts etc and they should be able to order in the accessories for you.
Please look for their address etc in the commercial classified section.
Regards
Adrian

Hi Bam2.
Nice to have you here on board and welcome to the VAG forum.
There are quite a few places you can get accessories for your A6. Qwert had replied you about one of the alternatives. Other than that, you can also order those online. You can try ebay for the start and those are quite common parts.
Meantime, do some search around and you can start plan for your mods when your car arrives !!! 8)

Thank you both for your warm welcome. Had tried searching the web for alternative source as I think with the shipping charge will still be lower than PA. But cannot find any of the things I was looking for. Any recommended site.
Also, was keen to go for the MTM chip by PA. I saw there may be other option to chip up like APR, revo. Is that right? Trying to balance performance with cost. Quite dry already after the booking.

It all depends on the weight of your items.
Cargo nets and seat drawers are all light items. If i were you, I will properly look out for some frens who might be visit places like US or UK to bring in those items for you on good will. You can also try vpost. You will have great saving there (tho I have not used before and I cant really comment much on that).
My suggestion is get the car first and drive it around with whatever it has with it. Do more research on your mods before u lump your hard earn money to it. Of coz, there are alot of members here will disagree with my views and its all up to you.
Went to Xinzhong. Wow, What a big price difference. The price they quote is almost half to PA installed price. Thanks for the recommendation. :D
BamBam,
First up, welcome to vagsg and congrats on your new ride. :)
When I first saw your post that PA was charging you $500 a piece for a cargo net, I couldn't believe my eyes. This is cos when I had my Pug, the SE gave me a cargo net for the 307SW, which I'm using for my Passat. It works fine to keep things from rolling around in the boot. Even at $250/pc (XZ price), it still sounds ex. :!: Any reason why the cargo net is so expensive? Special material or extremely versatile? :?:

Gene,
I must have confused you. The net I'm talking about is the netting behind the front 2 seats, the kind you put your magazines etc. The reason for the price is that you can't buy just the net, you have to buy the whole back plate that comes with the net.

Oh, you mean the A6 don't come with the netting behind the seats?
My A4 have leh....A6 pay more yet don't have!
qwert,
You are right. Both the 2 TFSI and the 2.4 MU do not have the net and drawers. I also questioned the SE when I saw it in the A4 at the showroom. As what they say in another trend, PA does bring in the lowest spec version and this cannot compete with BMW and Merc.

Orh..my bad..saw "cargo net" after that and jumped to conclusion. :)
Well, equally surprising, but I guess that's how the A6 comes. :) But it's going to be one expensive magazine holder - $500/pc + labour to fit it...wow. Good luck on fitting out your A6's interior for more "barang barang" space. :)
Bambam...how much is the seat drawer from Xinzhong? Can you fit the drawer into the standard seat?

About $300 but just parts, need to find your own workshop to install. If your's is the same A6 that I'm getting, then I think it can fit. I had to tell XinZhong my chassis number so that he can pull up the right drawings(quite impress) Want to group buy and group install?
