who wants to go to the IT show on 09 Mar 07 (fri)? I will be there close to lunch time from abt 11am to 3pm+...

OK. I can go on Friday but got to be after work. Soonest I can reach there by my SBB mode is at 5pm. Walk walk jalan jalan till 8plus and then head straight to prata cafe.

for those who are going to the IT show, please remember to head down to prata cafe for the kopi gtg if you can.
also, here's a tip, park at shaw towers to avoid the horrific jams going into that area (suntec is accessible via the overhead bridge over nicoll highway).

i tried that last year in the afternoon of one of the weekdays and it was also full. in the end had to park at raffles city.
but it wasn't a good idea cuz i bought a bigass printer and had to lug it all the way back...maybe esplanade is an option?

hi JD, got meself a:
1. 2.5" portable hdd (120G seagate).. i love this casing....
2. HP C5180 9jus finished installing it (got lotsa freebies)
3. Brother Label maker for the little one to play with (won a web cam with this purchase)
all in all, a tiring trip on the 2nd day... started out at 11am and was on my poor feet till 3pm... then buay tahan, went for haircut and massage at Jean Yip (Plaza Sing).. followed by another shopping trip at Kino (NAC) where i saw a damn nice sight in the basement (see seperate SMS).... and guess what... BLuegti was there too, but we din meet... :(
btw, JD.... i am so glad and relieved for u that u din come along... the crowd, queue, jam, loud env was terrible.... either go really early like we did at 1200 sharp when the doors open or really really late like 855, jus b4 it closes....
anybody see MOGO mouse (slim type with size of PCMCIA card) available in the IT show?

nope, din see that, zen....
then again, i din see alot of stuff there too... e.g. couldnt find garmin sets... but what i saw, i liked... :wink: :D
hmmmmm..... not that many sexy hot babes this year.... i even complained to wife, for all its size, the HP booth did not have any sexy babes... at least canon had... :wink:

Hey guys,
To those who missed the crowd today and went on Thu or even Fri, kudos to you.
IT show was a real mad house today! soooo many people. Many products were starting to sell out by afternoon (panasonic digi cams, LG flatscreens, memory sticks etc). We got there about 11am, and it was starting to get terrible. After lunch, had to squeeze thru so many people to get around. Very irritating to shop like that. I guess the show;s success is also its failure, paradoxically. The event organisers show have spaced out the booths better as it was mega cramped like sardines. Can't believe some parents even brought babies and toddles along....what were they thinking?
anyway, picked up a duplex colour laser (finally....) and some other bits.
Tip for those thinking of going tomorrow, it may be even worse crowdwise: Try to get there before noon and if you so, just valet park at Mandarin next door. $8 saves you lots of stress getting in and out. My $8 was so well spent!

sigh.. as expected, i guess.. more folks will go on weekends.... so there was a crowd at 11am even b4 the show opened? same as Fri :(
really dun think visitors shld bring their parents, partners or kids... it's a terrible mad house already as it is...

DS, sounds like u got a good deal! i recall buying a Trek 1G thumbdrive for abt $70 around Sep 06... and imation 8G at $135 is darn good!

Yo BG! bought the HP colour laser 2605dn. it was a toss up between this one and a Fuji Xerox. But went for the former as it has 1 pass printing, so faster. Got it got 809, but will be 709 after I get my robinsons vouchers. Dunno if it was the best deal but dammm sian after walking around and squeezing for so long, so just bought it lah.
saw your other post on your eventful week and postgrad scholarship. I know how it feels! hope u r heading someplace nice. It will be a good opportunity to bring the family and spend time there together. Just wanted to say CONGRATS!!!!!!

HP too huh? i got a HP C5180 AIO... and got $100 in vouchers too... after working out, it'l only cost $178... so cant complain... other than no babes at the booth... :(
btw, a fren (Blue: PT; inifini's colleague) was there this evening.. swore off IT shows after that.... according to him, it was terrible....
as for the eventful week... will post a reply there... dun wanna OT here lar... ok? cheers!
