Xmas GTG @ Yishun Dam 24 Dec, Sunday

Hi Guys,

I will be throwing a mini Xmas celebration at Yishun Dam on the Xmas eve at the dam. For those who like to join me to do some little BBQ, get some wine, relax on the shore and enjoy the evening breeze with some christmas carol singings at the background.

If you are coming from Yishun town heading towards the direction to the camp/airbase, I will be on the left hand side of the dam, ~ 15m away before the right turn to the airbase. Just try to look out for my car. I will be there from 6pm - mid night.

I must thank Karsoon for organsing this. It was the most happening Christmas countdown I ever had in years, not that I have lived many la... Some things to remember:
1) This little corner down below the dam road
2) His family is happening!! They created a make shift KTV there!! Plus they were singing chinese songs to celebrate christmas day!! Fantastically hyper older folks we saw there...
3) The forumers who were there had a 2nd childhood, playing with party toys meant for kids!!
4) We walked on this "jetty" that was like 2feet wide at most and it went out to sea about 8 metres, then we sat on the wooden chairs that was constructed there. All done at the dam.
5) JD and Karsoon were snapping pics of the kids playing the sparkle sticks, looks like its gonna be a very touching photo... guys pls post that...
6) Super modded MRS that we saw that, super modded coz his ride sounded like he was dragging some pots and pans beneath his ride.
7) Our midnight drive that unfortunately Karsoon himself couldnt make it.

thanks to karsoon and Mrs karsoon for all their hospitality and generous invitation to us to join in the fun. yesterday was quite a "different" way of celebrating Xmas with so many people in a secret hideout. food was good, music made it felt like a CNY celebration and the company was excellent! sitting out at sea on that fishing platform chilling out with the guys is priceless ! :cheers!: i will certainly remember this night for years to come.

except the part about driving across the railway track at speed - ouch!!! :complain:

It was my first meet up & was indeed refreshing especially walking on the planks at the small jetty.

Thanks Karsoon & family/relatives for the hospitality. It was great to meet up with a group of nice & friendly guys from VAG.

I did not join the nite drive as i need to wake up early for another appointment and I felt bad to leave my wife & 2 yr old baby at home (although they were asleep).

It was nice to meet everyone and I didnt feel out of the place at all as everyone was so easy-going and friendly. Karsoon, it was a waste that u didn't come along for the nightdrive. :P

The nightdrive was awesome, been to places i've never been before haha, thanks to JD for being our leader haha. Marcus was very nice for being able to tolerate me driving slow and naughti I really can see theres a devil within her. Fierce :twisted: .

Anyway, it was great meeting all the guys, karsoon,D&C,tcleong,JD,naugti,marcus and babygolf(who came late :? ). Oh I also get to shake hands with kona before he left in his mx-5 haha.

Thanks Doc. No generator, mate! The song we got to test was 'Hotel California' and it was damn solid! And that was before tuning. I cant imagine if the equipment is tuned.
